Virtual Expo - Awards

All the works sent into the competition shall be published on www.florence-expo.com once registration is completed.  From September 30th - February 10, 2009, the number of people who visited each project web-page will be counted and at the end of the above-mentioned period, the projects that have been most visible on the Internet, in terms of number of accesses to its web-page and their geographical origin, will be selected.

The awards shall be the following:

• Awards for the Three Year Teaching Diploma Projects (three years university degree)
  • 1 free stay in Florence for 3 days (only overnight stay), for the winner of the selected diploma work on Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Environment-Community and City Planning
  • 1 free stay in Florence for 3 days (only overnight stay), for the winner of the selected diploma work on Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Properties
  • 1 free stay in Florence for 3 days (only overnight stay), for the winner of the selected diploma work on Visual Arts and Design

The above-mentioned prizes shall be awarded by the Vivahotels "Art in our HeArt"  hotel chain of Florence ( www.vivahotels.com) over one of its accommodating facilities in Florence.

• Awards for Four and Five years University Degree Projects Winners
  • A 3 months Architectural Internship in Florence for the winnning thesis on Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Environment-Community and Town-planning
  • A 3 months Professional Conservational Internship in Florence for the winning thesis on Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Properties
  • A 3 months Professional Art and Design Internship in Florence for the winning thesis on Visual Arts and Design
    
    The duration of the above-mentioned Internships can be agreed together with the companies and studios.
    
    
• Award for the (1st and 2nd level or similar qualifications) master project
  • 2,000 Euros for the best Masters Project (1st and 2nd level or similar qualifications) in the field of Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Environment-Community and Town-planning
  • 2,000 Euros for the best Masters Project (1st and 2nd level or similar qualifications) in the field of Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Properties
  • 2.000 Euros for the best Masters Project (1st and 2nd level or similar degree) in Visual Arts and Design
    
    
• Award-Publication
• All the works selected for an award shall be published in magazines specializing in architecture, conservation and design-art
  
  
  
• “Smart Presentation ”Special award
• The Scientific committee shall select one work among all the ones that will be personally presented by the candidates during a special session of the "Florence Festival" (November 14-18 2008, agenda to be drafted). The choice will be based on its scientific, technical and aesthetic content.   The selected work will receive the Special Award of € 1,000*
  
  
  * The prizes shall be awarded without tax deductions.

The final results shall be published on www.florence-expo.com  by February 15, 2009.
The Scientific Committee; however, shall hold the right to postpone this deadline for organizational reasons. In case of an extension, informatation shall be posted on Foundation's website.
