Message from the Rector of KazGASA

The Romualdo del Bianco Foundation is one of the international organization who, after the collapse of the Soviet Union immediately gave help to professional communities to integrate into the world cultural process. And now, years later, unlike many others, the Romualdo del Bianco Foundation continues to be active in the Post Soviet States.
KazGASA trusts Romualdo Del Bianco Foundation, thanks to this Foundation our school of architecture has gained access to the international arena, our teachers - the architects and artists had the opportunity to participate in international scientific conferences, our students met at workshops and made friends with peers from different countries. Despite of world crises, Romualdo del Bianco Foundation with honor fulfills its historic mission and serves as a bridge between the cultures of Eastern and Western countries.

The Kazakh Leading Academy of Architecture and Civil Engineering (KazGASA) is one of the recognized leaders among the higher educational institutions of Kazakhstan. The History of Architecture and Civil Engineering education in our Republic has begun in 1957 with opening of the First Department of Civil Engineering, as well as establishment of the first Architectural Department in 1961. For more than 50 years these Departments are making valuable contribution to the development of economics of the country. Our main activity is preparation of highly qualified specialists in the field of Civil Engineering, Architecture, Design, Construction Technologies and Management.
KazGASA is a multi-profiled institution and comprises all stages of the educational process – secondary school, Undergraduate, Graduate, Post Graduate and Doctor’s Degrees. Institution also contains complex of Collages, which train highly qualified specialists according to the program of secondary vocational education. For those who wish to improve the qualification or get another Degree, KazGASA provides such programs in Institute for Continues Education (ICE) and Republican Centre for Improvement of Professional Qualification of the specialists in the field of Architecture and Civil Engineering.
International relations with foreign partners are increasing and developing, which proves that progressive steps towards integration into the world educational space are undertaken.
The most important achievement and visible proof of international significance for the Academy was accreditation of the study program of Architecture at KazGASA by UNESCO UIA Charter for Architectural Education.

Almaty is the largest city of Kazakhstan, located in south-east Kazakhstan, near Zailiiskyi Alatau, the population is about more than 1, 5 million. Almaty was the capital of Kazakhstan from 1929 to 1997. After transferring capital of the Kazakhstan to Astana, Almaty was given status of southern capital of the republic, biggest financial, scientific and cultural center. There are number of business centers, theaters, museums, art galleries, exhibition halls and countless modern entertainment complexes in Almaty (cinemas, night clubs, parks, restaurants, cafes etc).
