The Florence World Festival - The creativity meeting point

The Florence World Festival offers every year to young professionals and students the opportunity to:

• Have their work accredited at the international level by displaying and presenting their degree projects during the Festival;
• Attend lectures and testimonials which bring together the experiences of professionals from all over the world;
• Meet, exchange and connect with professionals, firms and companies;
• Meet with other graduates and undergraduates and compare personal and professional experiences;
• Build an international network of professional contacts.

What is the Florence World Festival?

The Florence World Festival is an international event that brings together students, graduates, professionals  and professors once per year in Florence, giving them the opportunity to meet and compare their personal and professional experiences.

The Florence Festival combines the opportunity of growing professionally with the possibility to experience intercultural dialogue. Through the presentations of  the professionals, the discussions and the meetings  with  participants from all over the world the exchange of cultures and ideas is assured.

The Festival offers also the opportunity to companies, universities and institutions to present themselves to the international audience.

The structure of the Festival

To offer opportunities of professional growth and exchange the program of the Festival is centered on:

• Virtual Thesis Expo: digital exposition of all the degree projects published on the Degree Database in the year 2010;
  
• Degree Expo: poster exposition of degree projects participating in the Virtual Expo;
  
• Degree Presentation: presentation of the projects participating in the Virtual Expo directly by their authors. Those works participate to the "Life Beyond Tourism Award";
• Expert testimonies: presentation by the professionals of their success stories, to explain their experience and to dialogue with the participants.

• Weekly workshops for students and graduates (February 13-20, 2011): international groups of professors and students are created to actively interact and collaborate on specific topics;
  
• Company Presentations: an inside look into the companies through the presentation of their products, philosophy, experiences and achievements;
  
• University and Institution Presentations: presentation of courses, events and initiatives, in order to give an overview of the international learning offers;
• Academic activities: Lectures, workshops and meetings to present topics of regional and international relevance and to stimulate international discussion;
• Cultural activities: visits to the main museums and attractions of Florence;
• Get together activities in the ethos of "Life Beyond Tourism": meetings and leisure moments for all the participants in order to create informal opportunities for the development of intercultural  dialogue.
