Program of the Workshops:
Participation is available for BA and MA undergraduates, 25 students for each professor, from local and international higher art universities.
Working process will be aorganized in teams. The team working outcomes will be evaluated by the board. Successful projects will be awarded with prizes

Workshop 1.  "Local design and global design"
with Frank Ioachim Grossman, CKM, Germany.
Project description: Contrast of design in local areas and the global strategy of design concepts. Together with students, these ideas will be developed in book, poster series or websites

Workshop 2. "Interdisciplinary project “Cultural identification-view variety” in the framework of international conference “Life Beyond Tourism - Countries, history, cultural tourism” of the Tbilisi Regional Festival"

Project description: workshop aims creation of the special creative “product” (performance, happening, clip, etc) by variety of creative activities, in which there’ll be presented uniqueness, originality, exceptionality of the country culture; peculiarity of the one, that’ll appear interesting and attractive from the cultural tourism point of view.

Workshop 3. by the Tbilisi State Conservatoire “Georgian Folk Song”
April 20-22, 2010, Tbilisi State Conservatoire building
PROJECT LEADER - Assoc. Professor Nato Zumbadze, Head of Georgian Folk Music direction at Tbilisi State Conservatoire
Description: There is growing interest and admiration among the people of different specialties towards Georgian folk music for its originality, diversity and especially for its highly developed polyphony. In 2001 UNESCO proclaimed Georgian folk singing a masterpiece of oral and intangible heritage of humanity.
The main goal of the workshop is to give students/listeners, musicians, as well as non musicians, practical information about Georgian folk song, to make them more familiar with the Georgian folk song performance peculiarities and it’s tradition. Students/listeners will be expected to practice musical material. It will make more attractive our country and reveal uniqueness and identity of Georgian musical culture.

Workshop 4. “Creative Shibori”
21-22, 2010
Keti Kavtaradze, professor at the Faculty of Design
Project description: workshop aims studying of the initial stage of one of the significant artistic-technological method of textile art “Creative Shibori ”
Workshop durance: 2 days (4-4 hours)
Place of workshop: textile studio “La Maison Bleue”, address: 94, Barnov str., Tbilisi

Artworks, created by students during the workshop, will be exhibited in the Museum of Tapestry (address-19, Shardin str).

Materials and technical equipment for the workshop is included in the workshop fee.

Workshop 5. "Workshop in Clauzura" and "Clazura Challange"
20 April, 2010

Address: Tbilisi academy higher block-building, VIII – IX floors

Clauzura should be created on a sheet of paper, size: 0.80 x 0.60 cm,
Technique: free (China -ink, watercolors, etc.)

Clauzura challenge:
1. Contemporary architecture in city historical area building
2. First settlement on the moon (Space in which the human is able to live and act without spacesuit)

• Eligibility - for students and graduates of architectural schools

• Winners will be announced on 22 April, 2010. Prizes: I place-300 GEL; II place -150 GEL; III place -100 GEL
